Job summary

IQVIA MedTech seeks an experienced Safety leader to oversee a growing team responsible for safety activities supporting Medical Device clinical studies in Europe. The role combines technical and operational leadership, with accountability for EU safety reporting, team performance, client delivery, and financial stewardship.

The leader will build and guide a team handling expedited and periodic safety reporting to European Ethics Committees and Competent Authorities, annual progress reporting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a health science, life science, nursing, or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive Safety or related experience in a CRO or Medical Device environment.
• Experience supporting Medical Device clinical studies and EU safety reporting.
• 3–5 years of leadership or people-management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership for safety activities supporting Medical Device clinical studies conducted in Europe.
• Oversee expedited and periodic safety reporting to EU Ethics Committees and Competent Authorities.
• Lead preparation and delivery of annual and periodic safety/progress reports.
• Serve as a senior Safety SME for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Guide European Medical Device safety requirements and regulatory reporting processes.
• Partner with US Safety and cross-functional leaders to resolve complex issues.
