Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineering leader in Lisboa to drive delivery of high-quality software. You will lead and empower engineering teams, collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders, and align work with strategic goals.

Focus on engineering culture, quality, and cross-functional collaboration. You will mentor engineers, push for continuous improvement, and balance short-term priorities with long-term technical health, while embracing Agile practices and strong communication

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, QA Engineering, or another technical engineering role.
• Leading, mentoring, coaching, or managing software engineering teams is required.
• Proven experience balancing people leadership with technical decision-making and delivery ownership.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles including maintainability, scalability, testability, and operational excellence.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban).
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Agile Leads, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business priorities into realistic engineering plans and successful delivery.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC and engineering best practices.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives, engineering standards, and technical excellence.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• English (C1 or above) is mandatory, written and spoken.
• Availability for occasional travel within Europe.
