Axpo Group in Portugal is hiring an Energy Management Junior Analyst to support daily electricity portfolio management, forecasting, tariff analysis and green power operations. The role is designed for someone early in their career who seeks hands-on learning and contribution within a structured, collaborative team.

You will assist with reporting, portfolio monitoring and developing your understanding of energy markets while growing your analytical and programming skills in a practical

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
• Degree in Engineering and Industrial Management.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Programming and mathematical modelling knowledge is a plus.
• IT fundamentals, database management, and digital literacy.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and monitor the power portfolio and track purchases against the company position.
• Develop client power consumption forecasts from multiple data sources, including client profiles, historical patterns, and weather forecasts.
• Create, manage and optimize electricity prices and tariffs, plus conduct competitor analysis.
• Support the management of Guarantee of Origin auctions and related operational processes.
• Assist domestic commercial teams with portfolio-related analysis and insights.

Role Summary

We are looking for an Energy Management Junior Analyst to support the team in the daily management of the electricity portfolio, forecasting activities, tariff analysis, and green power operations. This junior role is designed for someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to learn, contribute to portfolio monitoring, assist with reporting and analysis, and develop their understanding of energy markets in a structured and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Power Portfolio Management

• Manage and monitor the power portfolio.
• Track purchases against the company position and identify deviations.
• Support domestic commercial teams with portfolio-related analysis and insights.

Consumption Forecasting

• Develop and maintain client power consumption forecasts based on multiple data sources, including client profiles, historical consumption patterns, and weather forecasts.
• Prepare deviation reports and highlight relevant risks or opportunities.

Prices and Tariffs

• Create, manage, and optimize electricity prices and tariffs.
• Conduct competitor analysis to support pricing decisions.
• Create and configure domestic tariffs.
• Analyze margins across the client portfolio.

Green Power

• Support the management of Guarantee of Origin auctions.
• Handle Guarantee of Origin cancellations and related operational processes.
