A BorgWarner Emissions Systems Spain SL, localizada na planta de Viana do Castelo, procura um líder para coordenar o fluxo interno de materiais, desde a área de picking até ao armazém, assegurando fornecimento eficiente para a produção.

Responsável por definir padrões de segurança, qualidade e logística, implementar Kanban, FIFO e milk runs, desenvolver a equipa de fluxo e colaborar com Produção, Armazém, Qualidade, Engenharia e Cadeia de Abastecimento.

Qualificações

  • Bacharelado em Logística, Engenharia, Gestão, Negócios ou área relacionada.
  • Mestrado (preferencial).
  • 3+ anos de experiência em Logística, Cadeia de Abastecimento ou Fluxo de Material Interno.
  • Experiência na indústria automóvel (preferencial).
  • Excelente conhecimento do MS Office.
  • Forte conhecimento de logística interna e fluxo de materiais.
  • Conhecimento de SAP/ERP e gestão de inventário.
  • Boa comunicação e colaboração transfuncional.
  • Inglês e Português proficientes.

Responsabilidades

  • Liderar e otimizar o fluxo interno de material do picking até ao produto acabado.
  • Garantir preparação de materiais na área de armazém para a produção.
  • Fornecer de forma contínua e atempada aos lines de produção.
  • Coordenação de fluxos de logística reversa (retornos, sobras, embalagens vazias).
  • Definir e implementar conceitos logísticos (Kanban, FIFO, supermercados, milk runs).
  • Liderar, coordenar e desenvolver a equipa de fluxo de material.
  • Monitorizar desempenho da equipa, promover melhoria contínua e competências.
  • Assegurar alinhamento entre operações de armazém e necessidades da produção.
  • Supervisionar armazenamento e movimentação de matéria-prima, componentes, WIP e acabados.
  • Assegurar elevada precisão de inventário e rastreabilidade.
  • Implementar melhorias de processos logísticos com Lean e eficiência operacional.
  • Definir, monitorizar e analisar KPIs logísticos (paragens, precisão de inventário, fornecimento).
  • Colaborar com Produção, Armazém, Qualidade, Engenharia e Cadeia de Abastecimento.
  • Assegurar fiabilidade de dados de logística e uso eficaz de SAP/ERP.

Job purpose

Responsible for leading and coordinating the internal material flow operations, covering end-to-end processes from the picking area, through assembly line supply, to finished goods material flows to the warehouse.

Ensures the efficient, accurate, and uninterrupted flow of materials, maintaining an optimal balance between service level, cost, and operational efficiency.

Accountable for defining, maintaining, and continuously improving safety, quality, and logistics standards within the area of responsibility.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and optimize the end-to-end internal material flow, from picking to finished goods.
  • Ensure efficient material preparation in the warehouse, guaranteeing availability for production.
  • Ensure continuous, efficient, and timely supply to production lines.
  • Coordinate reverse logistics flows, including returns, excess materials, and empty packaging.
  • Define and implement efficient logistics concepts (Kanban, FIFO, supermarkets, milk runs).
  • Lead, coordinate, and develop the material flow management team.
  • Size and allocate human resources according to required service levels.
  • Monitor team performance, promoting continuous improvement, skills development, and engagement.
  • Ensure alignment between warehouse operations and production needs (picking, staging, and flow).
  • Supervise the storage and movement of raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy and traceability across the entire operation.
  • Implement continuous improvements in logistics processes, applying Lean principles and promoting operational efficiency.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze logistics KPIs (e.G., line stoppages, inventory and picking accuracy, supply compliance).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain, ensuring operational alignment.
  • Ensure the reliability of logistics data and effective use of SAP/ERP systems, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure respect and compliance with the safety and cleanliness rules of the workplace, as well as respect and comply.
  • Continuously ensure the improvement of health, safety and cenvironmental conditions.
  • Participate in the definition, implementation and maisntenance of the organization policies.
  • Comply with safety standards, quality, productivity, hygiene and environmental protection
  • Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations such as Ethics Code
  • Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when needs or service convenience warranted for a period of time defined as necessary
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Management, Business or related field
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 or + years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Internal Material Flow
  • Experience in automotive industry (preferred)
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of Internal Logistics and material flow concepts
  • Strong knowledge of Iventory management systems
  • SAP/ERP Systems knowledge
  • Understanding automotive industry standards and customer requirements
  • Good comunication, an cross functional collaborations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency English
  • Proficiency in Portuguese
