International Schools Partnership is seeking a dedicated cleaner to help maintain classrooms, hallways, and common areas. The role emphasizes daily cleaning, restroom maintenance, and strict adherence to health and safety protocols to protect students and staff.

You will work alongside school staff, report issues promptly, and operate cleaning equipment safely, ensuring a neat, hygienic learning environment for all occupants. No formal education is required; prior custodial experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; basic literacy and numeracy helpful.
• Previous cleaning or janitorial work preferred in school/childcare environments.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals.

Responsabilités

• Daily Cleaning Tasks: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; dust surfaces and wipe fixtures.
• Restroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect toilets and sinks; replenish supplies.
• Surface Disinfection: Sanitize high-touch surfaces regularly.
• Specialized Cleaning: Perform deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled; handle spills promptly.
• Supplies and Equipment: Use cleaning tools properly; restock supplies as needed.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Follow PPE protocols and safety procedures.
• Facility Appearance: Maintain neat storage areas; report issues to supervisor.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with staff and follow daily task lists.

Job Description Key Responsibilities

Daily Cleaning Tasks

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, windowsills, and fixtures.
• Empty and sanitize waste bins and replace liners.

Restroom Maintenance

• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and restroom fixtures.
• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Ensure restrooms are hygienic and odor-free.

Surface Disinfection

• Sanitize high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, light switches, handrails) regularly to prevent the spread of germs.

Specialized Cleaning

• Perform deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g., carpets, windows, floor stripping and waxing).
• Handle spills and accidents promptly and safely.

Supplies and Equipment

• Use cleaning equipment properly and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.

Health and Safety Compliance

• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.

Facility Appearance

• Maintain neat and organized storage areas.
• Report maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures) to the supervisor promptly.

Team Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with other staff members and follow daily task lists or supervisor instructions.

• Time Management Efficiently complete cleaning tasks within assigned timeframes, especially during breaks or after school hours.
• Knowledge of Cleaning Techniques Understanding of correct procedures for disinfecting surfaces, cleaning various floor types, and handling spills.
• Use of Cleaning Equipment Ability to safely operate vacuums, floor scrubbers, mops, and other cleaning tools.
• Health & Safety Awareness Familiarity with proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols.
• Reliability and Punctuality Consistent attendance and dedication to maintaining a clean learning environment.
• Teamwork and Communication Work cooperatively with school staff and other cleaning team members; report issues as needed.

Qualifications

No formal education required, though basic literacy and numeracy are helpful.

Experience

Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred, especially in school, childcare, or similar environments.
