Exide Technologies in Castanheira do Ribatejo, Portugal, is seeking an R&D Embedded Software Engineer for Lithium Battery Systems. You will integrate the software group within R&D and contribute to embedded software for battery and energy storage solutions.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the control system, translating customer needs, designing test plans, bench testing, and collaborating with customers to ensure requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of software development experience in technical/engineering domains.
• Hands-on programming in C# for Microsoft .NET Core.
• Familiar with unit testing, CI and Git version control.
• Knowledge of IoT technologies and data bus protocols (CAN, RS485, Modbus) and IP networking.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain the control system and translate customer requirements into a delivered product.
• Design, develop and execute test plans to validate functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with customers throughout project stages to ensure requirements are met.
• Perform hands-on testing on real benches and simulated environments.
• Drive continuous improvements in software quality and testing methodologies.
