Addvolt in Porto, Portugal is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our hardware-software team. You will contribute to Telematics and IoT projects, design and implement firmware, and build reusable modules for power electronics and telematics systems.

The role requires hands-on C programming, microcontroller experience (ARM Cortex-M), familiarity with CAN/UART/SPI/I2C/TCP/IP, debugging with scopes, and a collaborative cross-functional approach.

Qualificações

• Embedded C programming: at least 3 years in embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of CAN, UART, SPI, I2C and TCP/IP protocols.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Experience debugging with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware interfaces.
• Analytical, problem-solving skills and team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• TELEMATICS & IoT: collect, process data, transmit to back-end services and control systems.
• Firmware architecture: develop reusable drivers and modules for multiple projects.
• Design and implement features, validate and test thoroughly.
