Job summary
Bosch Portugal is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the application software development team within the Electric Solutions group in Aveiro. You will develop and enhance software for residential heating systems, with a strong focus on C and C++ programming for air-to-water heat pumps.
Working with multidisciplinary and international teams, translate system requirements into reliable software throughout design, implementation, and integration.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of professional software experience in embedded or application software.
- Production-quality C/C++ software development including testing and debugging.
- Ability to work with MATLAB/Simulink for Model-Based Development.
- Fluency in English; Portuguese language skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain application software in C and C++ for heat pumps and related heating systems.
- Implement control strategies and product functions, ensuring reliable interaction between software, hardware, and thermal processes.
- Contribute to software architecture, modular design, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Integrate, test, and debug software, resolving issues at software and system level.
- Develop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink models where model-based approaches are used.
- Collaborate with systems, electronics, hardware, control, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Implement and troubleshoot CAN, Modbus, and LIN communications.
- Support CI/CD processes using Jenkins and Atlassian toolchain.
