Job summary

WinPower is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to energy sector projects, including Battery Energy Storage Systems, substation and grid design, and hydrogen facilities. The role involves design engineering, coordination with project teams, and on-site site interventions across national and international sites.

Qualifications

• Integrated Master or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as electrical engineer.
• Experience in energy facilities is valued (generation, distribution, transmission, storage).
• Familiarity with electrical calculation and drawing software classes (ETAP, PSS4SINCAL, Eplan, PVSyst, AutoCAD).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Identify technical project goals and scope.
• Design engineering solutions in the energy area according to requirements and standards.
• Coordinate activities with the Project Manager/Department Manager to ensure milestones.
• Travel to sites to supervise activities and coordinate on-site meetings.
• Carry out interventions on site during assembly or commissioning.
• Analyse client requirements to prepare offers and solutions in the energy sector.
• Prepare technical offers with the Commercial Team and help develop new energy solutions.

One of the organization’s strategic goals is to provide an opportunity for engineers who want to participate in disruptive projects on the energy sector and build new opportunities within the WinPower Team, particularly in the fields of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Substations, Grids, Renewable Energy projects and H2 plants.

We are looking for:

• Integrated Master or degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy sector;
• Minimum 2 years of experience as electrical engineer.
• Some experience in energy facilities is valued: generation, distribution, transmission, storage, in design and sizing;
• Training in the Energy Sector, namely in Electrical Machines, Power Transformers, HV, MV and LV grids, electrical protections, general electrical installations, automation and instrumentation & command;
• Willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams in an operational environment;
• Documental organization and knowledge and ability to analyse and prepare project documents (technical notices, technical specifications, spreadsheets, electrical calculations, material lists, bill of quantities, evaluation of errors/omissions in third‑party projects, etc.);
• Our preference is given to candidates with some knowledge of electrical calculation and technical drawing software (ETAP, PSS®SINCAL, Eplan, PVSyst, Autocad, etc.);
• Domain of Microsoft Office tools;
• Good level of writing and proficient use of word processing tools;
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
• Availability for national and international travel.

What role will you play?

• Analyse the Client’s requirements and specifications to prepare offers and solutions in the energy sector;
• Prepare technical offers in collaboration with the Commercial Team and participate in the development of new solutions in the energy market.
