Atlantach is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Lead for the Datacentre sector in Sol, Portugal. You will lead electrical commissioning activities, develop QA/QC documents, and coordinate with project teams to deliver high-quality utility and electrical infrastructure installations.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in datacentre commissioning, an electrical trade qualification or degree, and hands-on experience with BMS and testing scripts.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years’ experience in datacentre commissioning at a Lead level.
• Electrical qualification trade or Degree.
• Commissioning with General Contractor to deliver on time.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Ability to create, review and update test scripts.
• Understand equipment and system diagrams and identify field discrepancies.

• Prepare a sequential schedule to ensure QA/QC inspections and commissioning testing are efficient.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations throughout the commissioning process.

We are hiring an Electrical Commissioning Lead in the Datacentre industry in Sol, Portugal. You will play an integral role in the lead out of electrical commissioning activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical commissioning activities and performance acceptance testing of the electrical infrastructure systems
• Develop QA/QC documents for the Vendor OSM equipment and the onsite utility equipment
• Prepare a sequential schedule to ensure all QA/QC inspections and commissioning testing are carried out in a manner that ensures the most efficient use of time and resources
• Document lessons learned and continually update commissioning and procedural documents to incorporate lessons learned
• Participate and support where required throughout all commissioning levels including pre-construction planning of the projected scope of work.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations throughout the commissioning process.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings, providing updates on commissioning progress and addressing any issues or concerns.
• Assist with vendor coordination and management.
• Support and perform design specification review, manufacturer submittals, one line drawing sets, and project schedule documentation.
• Oversee and participate in Functional performance testing (FPT) of client electrical systems.
• Oversee and participate in the Execution of test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation to design specification.
• Responsible for ensuring installation complies with local codes and national standards.
• Non-Conformance Recording: Record instances of non-conformance and punch list items, providing detailed documentation and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the commissioning process.
• Conduct facility walk downs, turnover, and punch list reviews.
• General understanding of LEED specifications and requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in datacentre commissioning at a Lead level
• Electrical qualification trade or Degree
• Commissioning partnership with the General Contractor to deliver on time successfully
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Ability to create, review and update test scripts
• Need to understand equipment and system, Electrical schematics, specifications and drawings and be able to identify field discrepancies for resolution.
• Knowledge of MV and LV switchgear, Transformers, ATS, UPS etc
• Develop the commissioning sequences and critical paths based on the construction schedule
• Strong knowledge is required in the following areas: local and national codes; construction drawings/symbols; acceptable industry standard/practices.
• Strong experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint or Commissioning software (Cx Alloy/ACC desirable)
