Position Overview

We are building a new Finance Excellence Center in Lisbon (Portugal) to provide comprehensive finance services to our business. The company is currently implementing a new ERP system (NetSuite) across the group and processes to improve and automate our finance operations.

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support the implementation of the new ERP system and integrate data from billing, payroll, and customer systems across all companies. The ideal candidate will have strong data engineering and data integration experience, with a proactive approach to supporting the setup of the new Center and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
2. Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability through testing and validation.
3. Support management and optimization of Databricks Unity Catalogs and Delta tables.
4. Monitor and maintain query performance and security.
5. Develop APIs and interfaces for data access and manipulation.
6. Create reports and visualizations to communicate data insights and pipeline performance.
7. Provide technical support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Databricks and related technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Delta tables, Unity Catalogs) is desirable.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Analytical Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns or anomalies.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
