CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR 1 LABORATORY TECHNICIAN WITHIN THE SCOPE OF LA ARISE

In view of the pressing need for LA ARISE - Associated Laboratory for Advanced Production and Intelligent Systems, funded by FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology), to reinforce research and innovation activities, as well as to support the management of R&D projects, the Institute of Systems and Robotics (ISR-UC) is calling for tenders to hire 1 Laboratory Technician for the area “Advanced Materials & Sensors” at ISR-UC.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
a) Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related areas;
b) Experience in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments;
c) Spoken and written English.
PREFERENCE CONDITIONS:
The candidate must have practical experience in at least three of the following areas:

PLACE OF WORK:
FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:
The laboratory technician hired will be responsible for supporting research activities, development, maintenance and training of new students in the laboratories, for the area of advanced materials and sensors, including the following tasks:
a) Electromechanical Characterization and Microscopy
b) Digital Fabrication and Printed and Electronic Sensors
c) Advanced Sensors
The contracted technician will also support the organization of events within ARISE and participate in the organization of collaborative projects between ARISE members.
b) Copy of the Certificate of Minimum Academic Qualifications required: Bachelor's or Master's Degree (and the respective recognition by a Portuguese Higher Education Institution, if the degree was awarded by a Foreign Higher Education Institution) - (mandatory);
d) Documents proving practical experience (mandatory);
e) Documents proving professional training (optional).
TYPE OF CONTRACT AND REMUNERATION:
Fixed-term employment contract, with an initial duration of 12 months, renewable depending on the continuity of the projects and the availability of funding. The remuneration will correspond to level 16 (sixteen) of the Single Remuneration Table in force for the professional category of Senior Technician, with a monthly value of€1,442.57 (one thousand four hundred and forty-two euros and fifty-seven cents), plus the meal allowance in force.

If the President of the Selection Board is absent or unable to attend, he will be replaced by the 1st member and the 1st alternate member will be appointed to replace the 1st member.
