WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Architect, build and maintain systems responsible for financial exam reporting which directly integrate with blockchain technology;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement elegant solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and the company’s overarching strategy;
- Integrate with blockchain technologies and protocols, emphasizing secure connections, data flow, and adaptability to the evolving needs of the business;
- Continuously stay updated with the latest trends in backend and blockchain development, ensuring Bastion is using optimal technology;
- Establish a scalable architecture to support current business needs, while remaining adaptable to future customer demands and market trends.
MUST HAVES
-5+ years of professional backend engineering experience;
- Strong coding skills in core backend languages (e.g., Python, Scala, Go, or TypeScript);
- Experience with databases such as Snowflake and Postgres;
- Proven ability to build compliance tooling in fast-paced environments, especially in fintech or blockchain;
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR) and their impact on tech and ops;
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, legal, risk, ops) to ship compliance-focused solutions;
- Ability to turn complex compliance requirements into scalable, robust backend systems;
- Customer-centric approach and strong execution mindset;
- Upper-Intermediate English level.
NICE TO HAVES
-Prior experience in the blockchain space, especially involving cross-border payments or financial reporting;
- Familiarity with blockchain protocols and integrations;
- Background working in growth-stage startups or on zero-to-one initiatives.
