Post-Doc Research Scholarship

A call is open for 1 Research Grant for candidates with a PhD in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or similar, related to the project EUROGIA2030 MoreWood at NOVA FCT, supported by Agência de Inovação (ANI).

Conditions include:

• Scientific Area: Civil Engineering and related fields
• Requirements: PhD within the last 3 years, good teamwork and communication skills in Portuguese and/or English

Preferred: Knowledge in construction materials, energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and health.

Work plan involves experimental characterization of thermal insulation, agroforestry waste panels, and recycled polypropylene composites, analysis, reports, and dissemination.

Legislation: Follows Portuguese laws on scientific fellowships, details at the provided link.

Workplace: NOVA FCT, Civil Engineering Department, supervised by Dr. Paulina Faria and team.

Duration: 6 months starting July 2025, renewable until end of 2026.

Allowance: €1851/month, possibly increased based on CV and skills.

Selection: Based on CV, motivation letter, and possibly an interview; criteria weighted as 80% CV/merit, 10% other, 10-20% interview.

Jury: Includes Dr. Paulina Faria (President), Dr. Luís Baltazar, Dr. Guilherme Coelho, with substitutes.

Results: Notified via email within 5 days after application deadline; candidates have 10 days to respond; final decisions notified similarly.
