Industry: Automotive Software – Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
We are looking for a DMS Product Manager to lead the evolution of Dealer Management Solutions used by automotive dealers across multiple European countries. These platforms help dealers manage customers, vehicle stock, sales and after-sales operations, and in some cases accounting and CRM. DMS platforms centralize core dealership operations in a single system.
Working closely with the DMS Product Director, you will define and drive the product roadmap, aligning product evolutions with the overall product strategy, market needs and customer expectations. You will also help ensure SLA commitments are met, particularly through the prioritization of bug tickets.
Product Management
- Define and manage the DMS roadmap in collaboration with the DMS Product Director, in line with the company’s product strategy.
- Focus primarily on DMS solutions used in specific regions, including iCar, Datacar and Eris, while also contributing to related products such as CRM and complementary use cases.
- Conduct market, competitor and customer-context analysis to inform product decisions.
- Monitor user experience trends and upcoming legal requirements, sharing relevant insights with internal stakeholders.
- Validate requirements, including Epics, Features and acceptance criteria, provided by the team’s analysts.
- Engage directly with customers to capture high-level product requirements.
- Contribute to workload estimations.
- Manage the product backlog and priorities, ensuring a healthy balance between innovation, efficiency improvements and maintenance.
- Prioritize development work at the start of each sprint to maximize customer and product value, while regularly sharing the product vision on a quarterly basis.
- Approve the delivery of completed solutions.
- Manage pilot phases for each major release.
- Collaborate with deployment teams responsible for packaging and delivering new DMS releases to customers.
- Participate, where relevant, in pre-sales presentations, customer and supplier meetings, and quotation preparation alongside Sales and XS teams.
- Ensure compliance with the SDLC process from a product perspective.
Team Management
- Lead regular team meetings to communicate priorities, results and ongoing actions.
- Define and monitor annual performance objectives and conduct annual employee reviews.
- Contribute, with your manager and the management team, to decisions on staffing needs, salary reviews, promotions and team changes.
- Identify training and development needs, and define structured onboarding paths for new team members.
- Ensure skill redundancy within the team, with at least two people able to perform the same key task, and maintain up-to-date competency matrices.
- Monitor attendance and absence management through the time-management system in place.
You will collaborate closely with:
- Development teams
- XS teams
