Devoteam seeks a Senior Data/AI Engineer to design and maintain scalable data solutions that power AI applications and advanced analytics across the organization. You will build semantic models, integrate data platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data products.

You will apply causal inference techniques, work with LLMs, and mentor engineers while promoting modern data engineering practices and secure, governed data architectures.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in senior data/AI/Analytics engineering roles.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow) and GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Vertex AI).
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering, API development (FastAPI), and LLM integration (LangChain/Anthropic).
• Experience building semantic layers, metrics definitions, and secure data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data solutions that support AI applications and advanced analytics.
• Build and optimize semantic data models, ensuring high-quality, trusted metrics for business and AI consumption.
• Develop integrations between data platforms, semantic layers, and AI-powered solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into reliable data products.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, governance, and semantic consistency across the platform.
• Apply causal inference and advanced analytical techniques to generate meaningful business insights.
• Support AI initiatives through LLM integration, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, architectural guidance, and engineering best practices.
• Partner with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Product Managers, and AI teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive innovation by promoting modern data engineering, AI, and analytics best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in senior Data Engineering, AI Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related data-focused roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern data platforms, including Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Databricks Apps) and Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Vertex AI.
• Solid expertise in Python for advanced data engineering, API development (FastAPI), and integration with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or Anthropic.
• Experience building and leveraging semantic layers and metric definitions to support advanced analytics, SQL workloads, and AI-powered applications.
• Strong understanding of causal inference techniques, including Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), Instrumental Variables (IV), and modern Causal ML frameworks.
• Experience working with Generative AI solutions, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and evaluating LLM outputs.
• Good understanding of data governance, identity and access management (IAM), and secure data architecture principles.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and influence architectural decisions across multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
