Job summary

Devoteam is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to identify, map, and catalog data assets while ensuring end-to-end lineage across domains. You will collaborate with Data Owners and Architects to formalize governance practices and improve data quality and metadata management.

Fluency in English is mandatory, and expertise in data modeling and enterprise data domains is expected. This role sits in a multinational Data & Analytics context, with opportunities to influence governance across EMEA.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Data Governance Analyst, Data Steward, or Data Strategy Consultant, with a strong emphasis on business data assets over pure data engineering.
• Proven track record in data lineage, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. Strong technical proficiency in T-SQL for data analysis, validation, and exploration.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and enterprise data domains.
• Valued knowledge/exposure: Microsoft Fabric, Medallion Architecture, and Data Mesh concepts. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to bridge business needs with technical architecture.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, mapping, and cataloging of data assets, entities, attributes, and business relationships across organizational domains.
• Gather, document, and analyze source systems, data flows, business rules, and application dependencies to ensure end-to-end data lineage.
• Collaborate directly with Data Owners, Data Stewards, business areas, and architecture teams to validate, formalize, and establish robust data governance practices.
• Identify information gaps, data quality issues, and continuous improvement opportunities within data management processes.
• Ensure consistent documentation and management of metadata, supporting analytical, operational, and AI-driven initiatives across the organization.
• Apply data modeling concepts to structure and streamline business data architecture effectively.
