The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Centro de Arte Moderna in Lisbon seeks an Assistant Registrar to standardise and manage data within the CAM collections database, supporting the Online Collections project and integration into digital platforms.

The role involves data cleaning, metadata migration, collaboration with Curatorial and IT teams, and ensuring use of controlled vocabularies and Getty AAT terms, with a two-year fixed-term contract.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage, Digital Humanities, Museology, Art History, Information Science, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in collections documentation, databases, or digital projects within museums/heritage contexts.
• Practical experience with collection management systems, preferably InArte, or equivalent platforms.
• Proficiency in WordPress or other CMS.
• Familiarity with data migration, metadata standardisation, and online publication of collections.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital data management tools.

Responsabilidades

• Review, clean, and standardise data within the CAM collections database.
• Collaborate on migration of content and metadata to the new WordPress platform.
• Work with Curatorial, Collection Management, Digital, and IT teams on validation and publication of online collections content.
• Ensure application of controlled vocabularies and museum standards, including Getty AAT.
• Support interoperability and data integration between the InArte database and institutional platforms.
• Contribute to technical documentation and procedures for digital publication of collections.
