A leading IT consulting firm based in Portugal is seeking a skilled Kubernetes Engineer to relocate to Belgium. As a part of this dynamic team, you'll design and manage secure, scalable Kubernetes clusters, leveraging Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in production environments and be proficient in containerization technologies and monitoring tools. This role offers a hybrid work model and includes relocation support.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 5 years managing Kubernetes services in production environments.
• Proven experience in deploying and operating large-scale Kubernetes clusters.

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy, and manage highly available, secure, and scalable Kubernetes clusters.
• Containerize applications and focus on performance and resource optimization.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and logging using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Analyze and optimize cluster performance; resolve system bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to Kubernetes and containerized workloads.

Conhecimentos

Deep understanding of Docker

Proficiency in Terraform

Hands-on with AWS (EKS)

Knowledge of VMware

Experienced with Prometheus

Familiar with HELM

Strong skills in Bash

DevOps / Kubernetes Engineer (relocation to Belgium)

• Candidate must have resided in Portugal for at least the past 5 years.
• Portuguese citizenship is mandatory.
• Candidate must be prepared to obtain NATO or EU security clearance upon accepting the job offer (with Hexa coordination).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage highly available, secure, and scalable Kubernetes clusters in on-premises or cloud environments.
• Containerize applications and support their deployment, focusing on performance and resource optimization.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and logging using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Analyze and optimize cluster performance; identify and resolve system bottlenecks.
• Enforce Kubernetes security best practices and respond to incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to promote DevSecOps and GitOps practices.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years managing Kubernetes services in production environments.
• Proven experience in deploying and operating large-scale Kubernetes clusters.

Technical Skills

• Containerization: Deep understanding of Docker, Podman, and orchestration principles.
• IaC Tools: Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on with AWS (EKS), Azure (AKS), or GCP (GKE).
• Virtualization: Knowledge of VMware, Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Monitoring & Logging: Experienced with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• CI/CD & GitOps: Familiar with HELM, ArgoCD, and GitOps workflows.
• Storage: Working knowledge of S3, MinIO, Nooba, and software‑defined storage.
• Scripting: Strong skills in Bash or Python for automation tasks.
• Service Mesh: Experience with Istio or Linkerd.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working in agile environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced, cross‑functional settings.
