Job summary

Wire IT is seeking a Devops Engineer in Portugal (Remote) to join an experienced team. The role focuses on cloud-native development with Azure and AWS, IaC and automation, and containerized workloads.

You will contribute to robust deployment pipelines and cross-functional collaboration across international teams. The ideal candidate has strong Python/SQL skills, familiarity with data workflows, and experience with GenAI tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-native development on Azure and AWS.
• Hands-on IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and operational support for cloud environments.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; TypeScript is a plus.
• Experience supporting APIs, data workflows, and platform integrations.
• Understanding of ETL, data pipelines, data storage and integration patterns.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in international environments.
• Familiar with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and OpenCode.
• Fluent English and a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach.

Role:Devops Engineer

Location:Portugal (Remote)

Required skills:

• Experience with cloud-native development and deployment, preferably with strong Microsoft Azure experience and practical exposure to AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and operational support for cloud environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; TypeScript is an advantage.
• Experience supporting APIs, data workflows, and platform integrations.
• Understanding of enterprise data engineering concepts, including ETL, data pipelines, data storage, and integration patterns.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and local IT organizations in international environments.
• Familiarity with GenAI software engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or OpenCode.
• Ability to balance delivery speed, reliability, security, and cost in production environments.
• Pragmatic, outcome-driven approach and adaptability in evolving AI environments.
• Fluent English.
