Job summary

Consort Group is expanding its Porto/Lisbon-based team. You will work on referential data projects in a banking context, building secure back-end services with Java/Spring, APIs, and scalable microservices.

The role blends development, analysis and technical leadership within a hybrid work setup in Portugal, with exposure to AWS/IBM cloud environments and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in IT/CS.
• Experience with Java/Spring development.
• Background in back-end architectures.
• Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL.
• CI/CD, microservices, unit testing and versioning.
• Cloud experience (AWS or IBM).
• Familiar with Docker and containerization.
• Agile environment experience.
• Nice to have BNP Paribas exposure; data governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, secure and scale back-end architectures.
• Develop and maintain solutions with Java/Spring.
• Industrialize solutions following CI/CD best practices.
• Validate with end-users during processes.

This is your mission

You will join a program composed of different referential products focused on third-party people and entities within a banking environment.

These products are connected to external providers, including public and market-data sources. The referential data serves as golden sources for the bank, ensuring high data quality and consistency across various data sources and reducing discrepancies in reporting.

Your mission will be to:

• Design, secure and scale back-end architectures
• Develop and maintain solutions using the Spring framework
• Industrialize solutions according to CI/CD best practices
• Participate in the validation phase with end-users
• Implement data exposure solutions, including APIs

Build side

• Design and develop secure and scalable back-end architectures
• Develop back-end solutions using Java and Spring
• Implement data exposure solutions, including APIs
• Apply good programming practices and ensure code quality
• Develop and maintain microservices
• Implement unit testing and versioning practices
• Contribute to the industrialization of solutions following CI/CD best practices
• Work with cloud environments and containerized solutions

Run side

• Participate in the validation phase with end-users
• Ensure the reliability and consistency of referential data solutions
• Contribute to maintaining high data quality across different referential data sources
• Support the evolution and scalability of back-end solutions
• Contribute to the identification and reduction of discrepancies in reporting

This is your background

• University degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• Experience in Java/Spring development
• Experience working with back-end architectures
• Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with CI/CD, microservices, unit testing and versioning
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or IBM
• Experience with Docker and containerization
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Previous experience with third-party data or data governance/management is an asset
• Previous experience in a BNP Paribas environment is an asset
• Interest in multi-hat roles combining Technical Business Analysis, Development and Technical Lead responsibilities
