DESENVOLVEDOR FULL STACK - AWS (HYBRID)

Location: Lisbon / Portugal

Working Model:Hybrid: 70% remote and 30% in the Office in Lisbon

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement IoT applications using Java, Node.js, and AWS Cloud.
• Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for deploying and operating IoT solutions.
• Maintain and administer GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support DevOps workflows.
• Collaborate with the Software Architect to continuously enhance the DevOps pipeline.
• Work closely with Firmware Engineers to integrate IoT devices (e.g., EV Chargers) and sensors with cloud-based software solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for communication between EV chargers and the AWS cloud.
• Develop data ingestion and processing pipelines to handle high volumes of IoT data, utilizing Kafka as the data streaming platform.
• Ensure security and compliance, including data encryption and secure communication with IoT devices.
• Perform design and code reviews, and uphold high programming standards through the implementation of unit and functional tests.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Advanced proficiency in AWS Cloud Services.
• Strong Java development skills, with hands-on experience building applications for IoT platforms.
• Familiarity with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Solid experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and access.
• Proven experience working with cloud-native platforms, particularly AWS services tailored for IoT.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and real-time data processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka or Apache Flink is a plus.
• Expert knowledge in DevOps practices, including tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• AWS Certification is a plus.
• Experience with IoT communication protocols such as OCPP 1.6/2.0, MQTT, or Modbus is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly CDKTF, is an advantage.
