Job summary

Oramix in Porto is seeking a Datacenter Administrator to join our technical team. You will be responsible for administering and developing both physical and virtual infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and continuity of data center environments.

The ideal candidate has advanced virtualization experience (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V) with at least three years in systems administration, Windows Server, and enterprise infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of virtualization including VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper-V.
• At least three years of proven systems administration and data center experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience implementing and administering clusters, high availability and disaster recovery.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing.
• Experience with servers, storage, networks and their integration; project execution.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational skills and good English.

Job description

We are looking for a Datacenter Administrator to join our technical team in Porto. You will be responsible for administering and developing physical and virtual infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance and continuity of data center environments.

We are looking for professionals with the following profile:

• Advanced knowledge of virtualisation, including VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V and/or other virtualisation platforms;
• At least three years of proven experience in systems administration and data center infrastructure;
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure environments;
• Proven experience implementing and administering clusters, high availability environments and disaster recovery solutions;
• Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls and traffic load balancing;
• Experience with physical and virtual infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks and their integration;
• Experience in infrastructure projects, with the ability to assume technical responsibility and oversee the implementation of solutions;
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail and focus on quality;
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex infrastructure issues;
• Availability, proactivity and strong organisational skills;
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• Good written and spoken English.

We value

• VMware, Microsoft or equivalent certifications in data center technologies and virtualisation;
• Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper or equivalent networking certifications;
• Certifications related to cloud infrastructure, networking, storage or data center technologies;
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI and enterprise storage solutions;
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery and business continuity;
• Experience in highly critical data center environments, particularly in the financial services, telecommunications, industrial or utilities sectors;
