Decskill seeks a Data Warehouse Engineer for a hybrid role based in Lisbon, Portugal (3 days/week in the office). You will design, build and optimize enterprise Data Warehouse solutions, implement ETL pipelines, and ensure data quality and governance across diverse data sources.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DWH architecture, strong SQL Server/SSIS/SSRS/SSAS skills, and experience with ERP systems and multiple databases.

Qualificações

  • Academic background in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in Data Warehouse architecture and automation with MS SQL Server, SSIS, T-SQL.
  • Proven skills in DWH design, development, and optimization using MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and T-SQL.
  • Deep knowledge of ETL pipeline design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven skills in performance tuning, scalability, and maintainability of DWH systems.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Abacus, INFOR) and databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Progress).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python and PowerShell).
  • Validate compliance with DWH standards, data governance, and best practices.
  • Expertise in integrating heterogeneous data sources and legacy modernization.
  • Experience with deployment automation and environment configuration.
  • Focus on data validation, anomaly detection, and error handling; aware of AI trends including Agentic AI.

We would like to meet a Data Warehouse Engineer for a project with a hybrid working model in Lisbon, Portugal (3x/week at the office). All candidates must be in Portugal.

Responsabilities:
  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.
  • Build, optimize, and troubleshoot ETL pipelines to ensure reliable data integration.
  • Improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of Data Warehouse solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with Data Warehouse standards, data governance, and architectural best practices.
  • Automate deployments and manage environment configurations.
  • Perform data validation, anomaly detection, and error handling to ensure data quality.

Requirements
  • Academic background in Engineering or similar (Software, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, etc.).
  • At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience in Data Warehouse architecture and automation (Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, T-SQL).
  • Proven skills in Data Warehouse (DWH) design, development, and optimization using Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and T-SQL.
  • Deep knowledge of ETL pipeline design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven skills in performance tuning, scalability, and maintainability of DWH systems.
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems (SAP, Abacus, INFOR) and diverse databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Progress).
  • Strong skills in scripting and automation (Python for data workflows, PowerShell for deployment and monitoring).
  • Validate compliance with DWH standards, data governance, and architectural best practices.
  • Expertise in integration of heterogeneous data sources and legacy system modernization.
  • Experience in deployment automation and environment configuration (development, test, and production).
  • Focus on data validation, anomaly detection, and error handling.
  • Demonstrates awareness of AI trends (including Agentic AI) and explores opportunities to enhance products, processes, and ways of working.
  • Shows a continuous learning mindset toward emerging technologies and an openness to experiment, adapt, and continuously upskill in an AI-enabled environment
