Descrição da oferta de emprego

Testo, with its headquarters in the Black Forest/Germany, is a world market leader in the field of portable and stationary measurement technology. Worldwide, roughly 3900 employees research, develop, produce and market innovative measurement solutions for Testo. The basis for this success, in addition to the highly qualified and motivated staff, is the above-average commitment to a future-oriented development - roughly 10% of the annual concern turnover is invested in Research & Development. With 37 subsidiary companies and over 80 distribution partners, Testo is represented on all five continents.

As part of our commitment to leveraging data and AI to drive business value, we are seeking a curious and motivated Data Scientist to join our team.

In this key role, you will transform data into actionable insights, develop machine learning models, and help build the foundation for AI-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to solve complex challenges and support Testo's data transformation journey.

  • Collect, explore, and analyze data from various business domains to uncover meaningful patterns and trends.
  • Build, validate, and iterate on statistical and machine learning models that address real business questions.
  • Apply techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting to a variety of use cases.
  • Translate model outputs into clear, actionable insights, making the complex understandable.
Business Collaboration & Insight Delivery:
  • Work closely with teams across finance, operations, sales, and supply chain to understand their data needs and business context.
  • Act as a translator between data and business: listen to the business problem, find the right analytical approach, and present findings that stakeholders can act on.
  • Build dashboards and reports that make insights accessible and self-serviceable for non-technical users.
AI Enablement:
  • Contribute to making our data platform AI-ready — helping to ensure that data is clean, structured, and accessible for AI tools and agents.
  • Support the development of interfaces (API or MCP server) that allow AI assistants and LLM-based tools to access business data reliably.
  • Explore and prototype AI/GenAI use cases together with the business and IT teams.
  • Stay up to date with developments in data science, machine learning, and AI - and bring new ideas into the team.
  • Help establish best practices for data usage and analytics across the organization.
  • Actively contributes to a culture where data is trusted, understood, and used to make better decisions.
