Skillbase Group is seeking an experienced Privacy Counsel to join a leading international financial services organisation on a 6-month contractor assignment, with potential for extension. Based in Paris or Porto, this hybrid role supports the Group Data Protection Office within a Second Line of Defence function.

You will provide GDPR guidance across European jurisdictions, handle DPIAs, DPAs, data transfers and DSARs, and collaborate with Legal, Compliance, IT and HR.

Qualificações

• 4–7 years' experience in privacy/data protection.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and at least one European jurisdiction.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is advantageous.
• Strong drafting, advisory and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsabilidades

Privacy Counsel – GDPR & Data Protection | Contractor

• Provide practical legal advice on GDPR and local data protection requirements across multiple European jurisdictions
• Advise on DPIAs, RoPAs, privacy policies and privacy-by-design
• Review and negotiate DPAs, data-sharing agreements and international data transfer arrangements
• Support AI, data and technology projects from a privacy perspective
• Manage DSARs, personal data breaches and regulatory queries
• Monitor regulatory developments, including GDPR, EDPB guidance, ePrivacy and the EU AI Act
• Work closely with Legal, Compliance, IT, Security, HR, Procurement and business stakeholders

About you:

• 4–7 years' experience in privacy/data protection
