Affinity is a Portuguese technology consulting company with offices in Lisbon, Porto and Óbidos, and representations in Brazil and Tunisia. We seek a Privacy & Data Protection Specialist to help clients navigate GDPR and national laws across multiple jurisdictions, with hands-on RoPA, DPIA, and DPA drafting responsibilities.

Ideal candidates hold a law degree, fluent English, and an EU jurisdiction qualification; additional European language skills are a plus.

Qualificações

• 3+ years in data protection/privacy in-house or in law firm/consultancy
• GDPR knowledge and national privacy laws in at least one EU jurisdiction
• Hands-on RoPA, DPIA, and LIAs
• Drafting and negotiating DPAs, SCCs, cross-border transfers
• Experience reviewing AI-driven privacy risk under EU AI Act
• Law degree with EU qualification preferred
• English fluency; another European language is a plus

What we’re looking for:

• 3 or more years of relevant experience in data protection/privacy, gained in-house and/or in a law firm or consultancy.
• Strong, demonstrable working knowledge of the GDPR and national privacy laws in at least one of these jurisdiction (France, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Norway, Ireland).
• Hands-on experience with Records of Processing (RoPA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and legitimate interest assessments.
• Proven drafting and negotiation skills for Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and cross-border data transfer arrangements.
• Experience reviewing AI-driven and automated decision-making initiatives for privacy risk, considering the EU AI Act.
• Law degree, with qualification/admission in an EU jurisdiction strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English required; an additional European language (French, Dutch, Italian or Portuguese) is a strong plus.
