TMC (The Member Company) is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join an international project dedicated to building and scaling modern data ecosystems in the cloud. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in data modelling and platform engineering.

The candidate will design scalable data platforms, lead data modelling initiatives, and develop robust data pipelines. Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud platforms, Python, and CI/CD pipelines. The position offers a hybrid work model in Lisbon or Porto.

Qualificações

At TMC (The Member Company), we are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join an international project focused on building and scaling modern data ecosystems in the cloud.

This role is ideal for a data professional with strong experience in data modelling and platform engineering, who enjoys working on end-to-end data solutions across Data Lakes, Lakehouses and Data Warehouses.

• Design and implement scalable data platforms in cloud environments
• Lead and contribute to data modelling initiatives (key focus of the role)
• Develop and maintain robust and efficient data pipelines
• Work with cloud storage systems and analytical layers
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Ensure data quality, performance and governance standards
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies within the data landscape

What We Are Looking For

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Experience working with:
• Data Lakes / Lakehouse architectures
• Data Warehousing solutions
• Hands-on experience with data modelling (mandatory)
• Proficiency in Python for data processing
• Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub or Jenkins)
• Understanding of workflow orchestration concepts
• Practical experience with dbt
• Experience working in multi-cloud environments
• Familiarity with modern orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow or similar)
• Previous experience in consulting or fast-paced environments
• Strong interest in data platforms and cloud technologies
• Autonomous and proactive mindset
• Analytical thinking with a focus on solving complex problems
• Good communication and team collaboration skills
• Continuous improvement and learning attitude
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Platform roles
• Experience delivering end-to-end cloud data solutions
• Availability for hybrid work in Lisbon or Porto
