BrightMark GmbH is seeking a Data Mining Specialist in Porto to analyze large datasets, extract insights, and support decision-making across teams. You will collect, clean, and shape data using ML methods and communicate results to stakeholders.

Accommodation is provided, and the role is full-time and based on-site in Porto, Portugal. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data science, proficiency in Python or R, and experience with SQL and data visualization tools.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Mining Specialist or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately.
• Proficiency in Python or R.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.

As a Data Mining Specialist in our company you will be responsible for analyzing large sets of data to identify patterns and trends Your main goal will be to extract meaningful insights from the data that can inform our companys decision-making processes

This is a full-time position based in Porto with accommodation provided

Responsibilities

• Collect and clean large datasets from various sources
• Use statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyze data
• Identify patterns trends and correlations within the data
• Communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Collaborate with other teams such as marketing and product development to identify opportunities for improvement or growth based on data insights
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and new techniques in data mining

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Computer Science Statistics or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Mining Specialist or similar role
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
• Familiarity with SQL databases and data visualization tools
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working with large datasets in e-commerce or retail industries
• Knowledge of natural language processing NLP techniques for text mining
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure

Salary $1100 per month negotiable based on experience
