Continental in Portugal is seeking a Data Engineer to build and optimize data platforms powering AI-driven solutions for our global fleet customers. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructures that ingest IoT and telematics data from connected tires and vehicles.

Collaborating with Data Scientists and MLOps, you will enable advanced analytics, ensure data quality and governance, and contribute to cost-efficient cloud workflows.

Qualificações

• Academic degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 2+ years as a Data Engineer.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with data pipelines and AirFlow.
• Experience with big data frameworks (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Kafka, DBT).
• Knowledge of data modeling and databases.
• Familiarity with data versioning and governance.
• Experience in Agile methodologies.
• Experience in international teams.
• Proficient English (spoken and written).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for real-time and batch processing of IoT and telematics data.
• Develop and manage cloud-based data platforms, optimizing workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement data quality, validation, and governance processes, ensuring GDPR compliance.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers to deliver reliable datasets and support AI/ML services.
• Mentor junior engineers, review work, and organize knowledge-sharing sessions to foster best practices.
