Adecco Permanent Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced data/platform engineer in Lisbon. You will design, build, and evolve large-scale data platforms that ingest, process, and manage vast data volumes across distributed environments.

You will work with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Flink, Spark, and cloud-native tech to deliver reliable, observable systems. The role is hybrid (1–2 days on-site) in Lisbon, with a full-time direct contract with the client.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering or data platform engineering experience in production environments.
• Proficient with Kafka or comparable event streaming technologies.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with Apache Flink and/or Apache Spark for large-scale processing.
• Experience designing and operating data-intensive distributed systems.
• Experience building cloud-native platforms in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Proficient with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience across full SDLC and MTTD/observability practices.
• Professional English proficiency (minimum B2).
• Based in Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and evolve data platforms for large-scale data workloads.
• Create pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing at scale.
• Design scalable, available, secure, and high-performance architectures.
• Participate from design through testing, deployment, and operations.
• Develop distributed, cloud-native apps and event-driven architectures.
• Work with streaming tech to process high data volumes.
• Contribute to modern data architectures with reliability and observability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and architecture teams.
• Drive quality via TDD and best engineering practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD and continuous delivery initiatives.
• Monitor production environments for stability and performance.
• Provide input on architecture and platform evolution.
