IRIUM Portugal is seeking a Data Engineer to join the AI & Data team and contribute to the Inter Data Platform project for IKEA AB, a global leader in ready-to-assemble furniture and home goods. We are currently looking for Data Engineer – IKEA Supply

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join the AI & Data team and contribute to the Inter Data Platform project for IKEA AB, a global leader in the retail industry, specializing in ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances, and home accessories.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support data generation, collection, processing, and analytics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data platforms that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions and architectures.
• Build, optimize, and manage data pipelines to support complex data workflows and analytics.
• Develop and implement ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, migrate, and deploy data across multiple systems.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, availability, and reliability throughout the data lifecycle.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues by implementing robust and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to align data solutions with business objectives and technical standards.
• Contribute to key technical decisions and provide expertise across multiple teams.
• Mentor and support colleagues by sharing technical knowledge and promoting data engineering best practices.
• Drive the continuous improvement of data architecture, processes, and overall platform performance.

Required Skills

• Expert-level experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
• Strong expertise in Data Engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks Lakeflow.
• Experience with Matillion ETL.
• Knowledge of modern cloud-based data platforms and data integration best practices.

Location: Lisbon, hybrid

Salary range: 3.500 € – 3.900 € gross per month.
