IRIUM Portugal is seeking a Mid Level Data Engineer in Lisbon for joining a growing analytics team. You will design and operate data pipelines across cloud platforms and collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering groups.

We value hands-on Python/SQL, Spark, and ETL/ELT expertise, with a strong focus on data quality, scalability, and reliable CI/CD practices. Hybrid work, competitive compensation, and ongoing training are offered.

Qualificações

Qualifications

• Demonstrates reliability in implementing data pipelines, solid understanding of core data concepts, and ability to independently execute well-defined tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse, or comparable technologies.
• Cloud experience across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Spark, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Robust understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, data architecture, and technical architecture design principles.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and code reviews.
• Experience troubleshooting coding issues and optimizing workflows.
• Code review and testing experience.
• DevOps (CI/CD for data) and/or DataOps experience.
• Growth-oriented mindset: eagerness to learn and upskill quickly.
• Clear communication: ability to convey progress and blockers effectively for streamlined collaboration.
• Team collaboration: comfortable working with Analytics Engineering, Product Management, and other engineering disciplines.
• Methodical approach: reliability in task execution, minimizing rework or errors due to structured workflows.
• Openness to feedback: maturity in receiving constructive input to accelerate growth toward becoming a Senior Engineer.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on cloud-native solutions and data architecture.
• English language proficiency at least B2 level.
