Job summary

SYONE is seeking a Data Engineer (ETL) who can work in Lisbon or Porto on a hybrid basis. You will design, develop and maintain data models, ETL pipelines, and BI reporting solutions while collaborating with stakeholders and other data professionals.

Requirements include 3+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and data warehousing expertise, experience with Stambia or similar tools, and fluent French (B2) plus English.

Data Engineer (ETL) French Speaker @ SyoneBack to all rolesData Engineer (ETL) French SpeakerJob detailsProfessional ServicesLisbon (Hybrid), Porto (Hybrid)Full-timeOn-site### What you will do* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear **technical specifications** for the Data Engineering team.* Design, develop and maintain **data models**, including star and snowflake schemas, optimized for analytics and reporting.* Design, develop and maintain **dashboards and BI reporting solutions** to support business decision-making.* Build, test and optimize **ETL/ELT pipelines** to integrate data from multiple sources into data warehouses.* Develop and maintain data integration processes using **Stambia** and other ETL tools.* Implement automated data quality checks to ensure data reliability, consistency and integrity.* Maintain data documentation, including **data dictionaries, data definitions and data lineage**.* Collaborate with Data Engineers and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.* Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes, performance and reporting capabilities.### What you need to bring* Bachelor's or Master's degree in **Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Finance**, or a related field.* At least **3 years of professional experience** in a similar role, such as Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer or BI Developer.* Strong knowledge of **SQL**, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures and query optimization.* Solid understanding of **relational databases, data warehousing and data modeling**, particularly the Kimball methodology.* Hands-on experience with **ETL/ELT tools** such as Stambia, Talend, Informatica, SSIS, Azure Data Factory or dbt.* Willingness to learn and adapt to **Stambia** if you have experience with other ETL technologies.* Professional proficiency in **French (minimum B2 level)** to interact with French-speaking stakeholders.* Fluent **English**, both written and spoken.**The following will be considered a plus:*** Experience with **Power BI**, including DAX and Power Query/M.* Previous experience in the **banking, financial services or insurance sector**.* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as **Azure, AWS or GCP**.* Knowledge of **Python or Unix/Linux scripting**.By applying, you accept our GDPR policies.
