act digital is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / BI Engineer to join a data-driven team in Portugal. You will design scalable data models, build ETL pipelines, and enhance reporting capabilities with a strong emphasis on data quality and governance.

The role focuses on delivering reliable data foundations for decision-making. You'll work with Databricks, Power BI, SQL Server, and cloud technologies to create robust data solutions and KPI-driven dashboards.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in Data Engineering or BI.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and modern architectures.
• Experience with ETL and large-scale data environments.
• Strong Power BI development and tuning.
• Familiar with Data Governance practices.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / BI Engineer to join an innovative organization where data plays a key role in driving business decisions. You'll be responsible for building scalable data solutions, enhancing reporting capabilities, and ensuring high standards of data quality and governance.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop data models, ETL pipelines, and data integration processes.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Expand and optimize Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions.
• Monitor, tune, and improve data platform performance and scalability.
• Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and governance practices.
• Develop impactful Power BI dashboards and reports for operational, strategic, and analytical needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and KPI-driven reporting.
• Promote best practices, standards, and efficient development processes.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, BI, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Modern DWH architectures.
• Solid experience with ETL processes and large-scale data environments.
• Strong SQL Server expertise, including performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Azure preferred).
• Experience with Cloud technologies (Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong Power BI development and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with Data Governance.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English. Spanish is an advantage.
