Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, reliable applications for optimal data flow, including APIs, streaming applications, and the industrialization of machine learning models.
• Optimize cloud architecture and infrastructure, focusing on storage, security, and automation within an AWS environment.
• Support internal teams in effectively utilizing the data platform, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Proactively contribute to technological research, innovation, and knowledge-sharing within the team.
• Ensure system availability, performance, and evolution while maintaining strict compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with technical product teams and manage integration with external components.

Profile sought

Education

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar role.

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Java and Python in Unix-based environments.
• Proficiency with distributed systems architecture and cloud platforms, particularly AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, DynamoDB).
• Experience with tools such as Airflow, Spark, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data pipelines.
