NexyaHR is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its Data & Analytics team on an exclusive search for an international organization. The role focuses on designing, building and optimizing modern data platforms that empower BI, analytics and AI initiatives.

You will work with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Software Developers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data solutions and production-ready datasets across the organization.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Build and optimize modern data architectures supporting analytics and AI initiatives.
• Develop robust batch and real-time data processing solutions.
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Design and manage enterprise data lakes and data warehouses.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance and security across all platforms.
• Optimize database performance and query execution.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to prepare production-ready datasets.
• Automate data workflows and orchestration processes.
• Monitor platform performance and implement continuous improvements.
• Contribute to cloud-based data platform architecture and best practices.

NexyaHR is conducting an exclusive search on behalf of an international organization seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its growing Data & Analytics team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional who is passionate about designing, building and optimizing modern data platforms that enable business intelligence, advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Software Developers and business stakeholders to develop scalable, secure and high-performance data solutions that support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Build and optimize modern data architectures supporting analytics and AI initiatives.
• Develop robust batch and real-time data processing solutions.
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Design and manage enterprise data lakes and data warehouses.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance and security across all platforms.
• Optimize database performance and query execution.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to prepare production-ready datasets.
• Automate data workflows and orchestration processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Advanced SQL expertise.
• Experience with Apache Spark.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands‑on experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or Azure Synapse.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Dagster or Prefect.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with distributed data processing technologies.
• Strong understanding of data modelling principles.
• Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Mandatory Languages

Portuguese is considered an advantage but is not required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg.
• Experience with Kafka or event‑driven architectures.
• Experience supporting Machine Learning workloads.
• Familiarity with DataOps methodologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Experience in highly regulated environments.
