Gleeds is seeking a Professional Project Manager with a mechanical bias to lead the water-cooling plant package for a data centre campus in Sines, Portugal. The role requires staying in Sines during workweeks, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and Gleeds teams to deliver on time and within budget.

You will manage construction, testing, commissioning and handover, ensure quality and safety, and report progress to Directors.

Qualificações

• Experience managing large-scale construction projects.
• Knowledge of central cooling and chilled-water systems and related plant.
• Practical project management techniques experience.
• Understanding of legislation impacting building contracts.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Professional level of English and Portuguese.
• Right to work in Portugal; availability to work in Sines 5 days/week.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the delivery of the water-cooling plant package within a data centre campus.
• Act as owner-representative consultancy lead; manage construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate technical, programme and interface requirements across stakeholders.
• Ensure on-site safety and progress with regular site walks and reports.
• Maintain on- and off-site coordination to optimize activities and reduce waste.
• Prepare and monitor technical submissions; assist change management for variations.
• Advise Directors on issues impacting Gleeds PI insurance; escalate risks promptly.
