PWMG is seeking an experienced Lifting Supervisor to support a major data centre construction project in Sines, Portugal. The role focuses on supervising lifting operations, ensuring compliance with lift plans, risk assessments, and safety standards on site.

You will coordinate crane operators, riggers, signallers and other lifting personnel, maintain documentation, and liaise with project teams to manage planned lifts. Accommodation and transport support are provided for long-term stability.

Qualificações

• Previous experience as a Lifting Supervisor on major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations and crane activities.
• Experience with lifting equipment and certifications.
• Ability to interpret lift plans and risk assessments.
• Portugal work eligibility and right-to-work documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations across the project.
• Ensure lifting activities are completed in accordance with approved lift plans and risk assessments.
• Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks with lifting teams.
• Coordinate crane operators, riggers, slingers/signallers and other personnel involved in lifting activities.
• Verify that lifting equipment, accessories and certification are compliant and within inspection dates.
• Ensure exclusion zones and safe working areas are established before lifting operations begin.
• Monitor weather conditions and site constraints that may affect lifting activities.
• Liaise with construction managers, supervisors, logistics teams and subcontractors regarding planned lifts.
• Identify potential lifting hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Stop lifting operations where unsafe conditions or deviations from the approved lift plan are identified.
• Maintain lifting documentation, inspection records and relevant site paperwork.
• Support the planning of complex and critical lifting activities where required.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all lifting operations.
