Axians Portugal is seeking a Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights for financial markets, developing data analysis, reporting, and visualization solutions across the data lifecycle. Qualificações

• Academic background in Engineering, Economics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• 2+ years professional experience in Tableau for data visualization.
• Experience in data analysis with programming, preferably Python.
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing is a plus.
• Knowledge in Big Data technology such as PySpark, Presto and Airflow is a plus.
• Fluency in English (written & spoken).

• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Manage and enhance data warehouse structures to support reporting and analytics.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI for Front Office stakeholders.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and insights for Sales and Trading teams.
• Collaborate with sponsors, sales representatives, and traders to gather requirements.
• Monitor and improve data quality, governance, and processing performance.
• Design and deliver automated reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain APIs and data services for data access across platforms.
• Contribute to chatbot and analytical solutions that enhance market intelligence access.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a professional responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support business decision-making within a financial markets environment. You will contribute to the development of data analysis, reporting, and visualization solutions, working across the entire data lifecycle, from data processing and warehousing to the delivery of dashboards and analytical tools. Your role will be key in enabling data-driven decisions through reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.

What You Will Do On a Daily Basis

• Collect, validate, and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Manage and enhance data warehouse structures to support business reporting and analytics needs.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI for Front Office stakeholders.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights for Sales and Trading teams.
• Collaborate closely with business sponsors, sales representatives, and traders to gather requirements and translate business needs into data solutions.
• Monitor and improve data quality, data governance, and data processing performance.
• Design and deliver automated reporting solutions to support decision-making processes.
• Develop and maintain APIs and data services to facilitate data access and integration across platforms.
• Contribute to the development of chatbot and analytical solutions that enhance user access to market intelligence and business insights.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of data architecture, processes, and visualization standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues across the data lifecycle, from ingestion to visualization.
• Support the deployment of new analytics products and data solutions in an agile environment.
• Document data processes, methodologies, and technical solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Your Key Skills

Your Main Qualifications

• Academic background in Engineering, Economics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Professional experience (at least 2 years) in Tableau for data visualization.
• Professional experience in data analysis with programming, preferably Python.
• Ability to analyze, synthetize and simplify.
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing is a plus.
• Knowledge in Big Data technology such as Pyspark, Presto and Airflow is a plus.
• Fluency in English (written & spoken).
