Magic Beans is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to design, implement, and improve security solutions for customers. You will work with clients, senior engineers, and partners to understand security needs and derive value from our technologies.

The role requires a solid networking foundation, interest in cybersecurity, and a proactive learning mindset, with opportunities to grow hands-on across modern environments and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cybersecurity experience or related role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity is a plus.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and practical security concepts is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, supporting design and maintenance of security solutions.
• Assist in implementing security solutions following industry best practices.
• Clearly communicate the value of Magic Beans security offerings to customers.
• Understand customers’ IT environments and identify opportunities to address needs.
• Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Terraform.
• Maintain technical documentation and deployment guides.

At Magic Beans, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security solutions for our customers.

In this role, you will work closely with customers, senior engineers, and technology partners, gaining hands-on experience across modern cybersecurity environments. You will help customers understand their security needs, implement the right solutions, and get the most value from the technologies we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, supporting the design, adoption, and maintenance of partner technologies.
• Assist in the implementation of security solutions following industry best practices.
• Clearly communicate the value and benefits of the security solutions offered by Magic Beans.
• Understand customers’ IT environments and identify opportunities to address their needs through our solutions.
• Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Terraform.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and security best-practice materials.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues and enhance security operations.

Critical Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of Internet technologies and protocols, including the OSI model (Layers 1-7), BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), and SSL/TLS.
• Solid knowledge of Internet security technologies and concepts, including WAF, Bot Management, Firewalls, API Gateway, Rate Limiting, (M)TLS, Zero Trust, and SASE.
• Understanding of web performance concepts, including latency, caching, video streaming, HTTP/2, TLS 1.3, and website optimization.
• Basic experience with or understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Basic scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong willingness to learn, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with regulatory and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and SOC 2.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a cybersecurity-related role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
• Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in Cybersecurity is a plus.

Language Skills

• Fluent in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
• Spanish is a plus.
