Thales in Portugal is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for Air Traffic Management. You will analyze security requirements, lead design and technical development of security components, and ensure alignment with policies and frameworks.

You will collaborate with cyber suppliers, support accreditation processes, translate customer requirements into actionable delivery plans, and travel abroad as needed. English proficiency is mandatory.

Formación

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with Cybersecurity focus.
• At least 3 years of proven cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with IAM, PAM, SIEM, EDR and firewall technologies.
• Knowledge of security architecture, lifecycle models and ISO standards.

If you want to be part of **Thales in Portugal** and have experience as a **Cyber Security Engineer**, this is the right opportunity for you! **Responsibilities:** * Analyze security requirements and constraints to develop high-level, compliant security architectures;* Lead the design and technical development of security components such as SIEM, IAM, gateways, and detection/deception systems;* Ensure architectural solutions align with business policies and major cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO);* Conduct risk assessments, study alternative solutions, and justify architectural choices;* Coordinate technical security efforts across multidisciplinary teams;* Produce architecture and engineering reports, specifications, and documentation to support accreditation and certification processes;* Collaborate with cyber suppliers and vendors to assess and select appropriate security products;* Support pre-sale and sales activities by providing cybersecurity expertise for bids and proposals;* Translate customer security requirements into actionable delivery plans. **What We’re Looking For:** * Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline majoring in Cybersecurity;* 3+ years of proven experience in the Cybersecurity field;* Strong knowledge in Cybersecurity solutions (e.g. IAM, PAM, SIEM, EDR, Keys, Firewall), architecture design and integration;* Knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and relevant standards (eg. ISO/IEC15288);* Experience in vulnerability management and threat modelling;* Sound judgement and independent decision-making capability where necessary;* Very good written and oral proficiency in English (mandatory)* Availability to travel abroad. **Nice to Have:** * Postgraduate studies in Cybersecurity;* Cyber Industry qualifications (e.g. CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, GIAC, SABSA or* similar);* Experience in system hardening and hardening review based on CIS Benchmarks or DISA STIG* frameworks;* Knowledge of ISO 27001 foundational requirements;* Experience in ATM Domain and related standards (eg. ICAO, Eurocontrol , or safety critical systems).
