Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Credit Officer to join a prestigious international financial institution in Porto. You will supervise and coordinate credit aspects of client onboarding and renewal, ensuring a smooth onboarding journey and profitable credit management.

In this hybrid role, you will act as primary contact for Relationship Managers, Sales teams, and Clients; coordinate credit requests, review business rationale, prepare credit applications, and maintain credit dossiers throughout the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial products and credit risk management.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills.
• Familiarity with OTC derivatives documentation (ISDA, CSA, MRA, GMRA, MSLA).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for Relationship Managers, Sales teams, and Clients regarding onboarding activities and annual credit reviews.
• Coordinate and oversee credit requests, ensuring accurate capture, prioritization and processing.
• Review and challenge the business rationale behind new Front Office requests, aligning with strategy and client requirements.
• Prepare and formalize credit applications with supporting documentation and management approval.
• Initiate and manage the credit workflow, creating complete credit dossiers throughout the approval process.
• Monitor progress of credit files, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation of critical matters.
• Maintain and update internal tracking tools to support prioritization and reporting.
• Coordinate the annual credit review process and renewals for Financial Institutions.
