Overview

Country Procurement Manager Portugal (HOT0C0DL). This is a hybrid role based at Duo Hotel Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton, Rua da Boavista 51 - 59, Lisbon 1200-109. Hilton Supply Management (HSM) is the largest global hospitality-focused organization that supports our brands, owners, and operators. HSM drives economies of scale and negotiates competitive contracts with industry-leading suppliers, ensuring direct savings on the products and services our hotel partners use most. We are seeking a Country Procurement Manager Portugal to lead Purchasing and Supply Management for the region.

What you will be doing in this role is organized around four core areas: regional/area sourcing, operational procurement, administration & reporting, and human resources.

Responsibilities
  • 50% Regional / Area Sourcing — Execute annual spend analysis and propose an annual procurement plan for the area; develop new programs and/or renegotiate existing programs and distribution channels with suppliers and/or manufacturers, utilizing cross-functional teams; manage and implement local and international procurement programs with sound legal, financial and logistical set-up; ensure understanding of brand standards for brands present in the area; manage projects in a structured and organized fashion.
  • 20% Operational Procurement — Ensure adequate service levels for the purchasing process; research product availability, pricing, specifications, and usage requirements; communicate findings to hotel purchasing and supply staff and other departments; forecast operational needs and schedule deliveries; perform field visits and conduct operational reviews at regional and hotel level; support hotel pre-opening offices to ensure brand standards and participation in Supply Management programs; measure and improve compliance to Supply Management programs.
  • 25% Administration & Reporting — Effectively manage supplier contracts and product data; approve changes to contracted items including pricing; maintain confidential supplier files and databases; assist corporate departments in identifying hotels not following established programs; coordinate and participate in meetings between suppliers and corporate staff; regularly update internal stakeholders on progress and achievements; attend area and regional meetings as required.
  • 5% Human Resources — Provide effective HR management to direct reports; lead and motivate teams to high performance; develop functional and soft skills of the team.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management across a multi-site or corporate estate, ideally in a hospitality environment.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and Portuguese fluently.
  • Complete knowledge of food, beverage, services and operating supply products, purchasing procedures and supply chain.
  • Strong mathematical, administrative and analytical skills.
  • Experience in managing teams and coaching/development of direct employees.
  • Ability to work under own initiative in a hands-on capacity and to visually evaluate specifications.
