Corporate – SAP IBP Application Specialist

Porto, Portugal - Full Time

Our client is a global packaging company with growing operations in Europe, including Germany, UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. As a result of their great expansion, they are looking for an SAP IBP Application Specialist to join the European team.

About the Role

As a combination of Business Consulting and Solution Delivery, the SAP IBP application specialist oversees support across sites in the EMEA region, ensuring consistent improvements of the existing target system(s) and implementation of new functionality.

Key Job Accountabilities

• SAP IBP Template maintenance and evolution: Provide support up to L3, schedule periodic jobs, manage quarterly upgrades, watch technology and evaluate new features.
• Project Management: Deliver solutions on time, within budget; contribute to process documentation; train key users; follow defined project methodology.
• Existing Instances Support: Architect solutions, process key‑user requests, create transport requests, customize, facilitate information sharing.
• Methodological compliance: Understand and apply project methodology; continuously improve roll‑out kit for own domain.
• Major Challenges & Complexities: Standardize work, adapt to changing scope (M&A), manage distributed teams, multi‑task, prioritize across BU.

Qualifications / Requirements

• SAP IBP Demand Planning and S&OP module experience, including CPI‑DS and APO.
• Familiarity with SAP IBP PLM module advantageous.
• Experience with SAP PP and MM modules.
• Active participation in multiple SAP IBP implementations across industries.
• IT experience, including project management; some management experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Solid understanding of industrial site processes.
• Experience in international SAP IBP projects, office and planning PC tools.
• Expertise in requirements modeling, software development methods, metrics, UI design principles, and formalizing specifications.
• Knowledge of training needs analysis and testing processes.
