HITACHI ENERGY PORTUGAL, S.A. is seeking a project engineer to support our Substation Automation projects in Portugal.

You will handle testing, commissioning, and concept development for protection and control systems in collaboration with the project team and customers. The role requires engineering qualifications, strong communication skills in Portuguese and English, and willingness to travel within Portugal.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma is required.
• Experience as a control & protection engineer is preferred, entry level considered.
• Excellent communication and customer interface skills; multi-tasking ability.
• Proven communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning for Protection and Control IEDs in substations per customer specs (PCM600).
• Develop protection and control concepts with project core team for transmission and distribution systems.
• Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to perform site works effectively.
• Obtain approvals from utilities for commissioning activities of protection systems and relays.
