WildBran in Portugal is offering a 6-month IEFP trainee placement in Póvoa de Santa Iria, focused on continuous improvement on the factory floor. You’ll film changeovers, map losses, and build daily updated production scores with operators.

You’re a fresh engineering or industrial management graduate, comfortable with Excel, capable of turning floor data into trusted decisions, and fluent in Portuguese with working English.

Responsabilidades

• Film and analyse changeovers, start-ups and cleaning routines to map where minutes go.
• Build and run visual boards showing each line's score, updated daily.
• Write centerline sheets and settings books with operators.
• Set up the 5S of the changeover: shadow boards, staged carts, and kits where nothing is searched for.
• Own the production data behind the improvement programme and report results monthly.

About WildBran

We make snack bars and energy balls for some of Europe's biggest retailers, and our own brand is out of the gate. Bootstrapped, founder-led, and run on open numbers: the whole team sees the real data, including you, from day one. In 2027 we move into a brand-new factory with 2.5x the capacity.

What you'll do

• Film and analyse changeovers, start-ups and cleaning routines to map exactly where the minutes go
• Build and run the visual boards that show every line its own score, updated daily
• Write centerline sheets and settings books side by side with the operators who use them
• Set up the 5S of the changeover: shadow boards, staged carts, kits where nothing gets searched for
• Own the production data behind the improvement programme, and present your results to the team every month

What you'll learn

• SMED, 5S and daily management applied on a real line with real losses, not in a case study
• How OEE actually works: measuring it, publishing it, moving it
• How to turn messy floor data into decisions people trust
• How a factory makes money, and where it leaks: changeovers, waste, downtime, planning
• How to lead improvement with operators twice your age, which no classroom teaches

You’ll be coached directly by the factory leadership, founder included, with a structured curriculum and one improvement project owned end to end each quarter. Your name on it.

Who does well here

Fresh engineering / industrial management grad. More floor than desk. Precise, because your product is standards people trust and numbers that hold up. Comfortable with Excel, curious beyond it. Portuguese, working English.

The deal

6-month IEFP estágio profissional in Póvoa de Santa Iria. Do it well and the first permanent Continuous Improvement role in the new factory goes to whoever earned it. Could be you.
