Forvia, the sustainable mobility technology leader, is seeking a Commodity Buyer Trainee to support the definition and deployment of commodity strategies within its supplier panel.

You will help identify new suppliers, support strategy implementation in development, and assist in cost modeling and risk management.

Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Business and fluent English; international mindset and negotiation skills are valued.

Responsabilidades

• Provide support for commodity strategy definition to Commodity Buyers
• Support implementation of the strategy through panel policy for assigned commodity and deployment
• Identify new suppliers to integrate the panel (scouting) and propose their inclusion to the panel
• Support strategic panel implementation in the Development phase
• Assist efficiency improvements of daily operations (e.g., AI initiatives)
• Manage suppliers in the portfolio including risk management
• Assist supplier relationship management with the Commodity Buyer
• Provide local insights to cost model performance updates to Finance
• Support sourcing-ready supplier lists per commodity strategy for sustainable performance
• Support supplier risk mitigation plans with serial buyers

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Commodity Buyer Trainee - Decoration is responsible to support the Commodity Buyer/Commodity Manager to define commodity strategy for its assigned commodity.

The main missions of the role are:

• Provide support for Commodity strategy definition to Commodity Buyers
• Support implementation of the strategy through panel policy for assigned Commodity and accountable of the strategy deployment
• Identify new suppliers to integrate the panel (scouting) and propose to Commodity Buyer and Commodity Manager their integration in suppliers panel list.
• Support strategic panel implementation in the Development phase
• Support efficiency improvement of daily work operations (i.e. AI implementation)
• Accountable for management of suppliers in his/her portfolio including risk management
• Manage relationship with suppliers, supported by the Commodity Buyer
• Provide local insights & inputs to cost model performance update to Finance
• Provide supplier list eligible for sourcing to program buyer according commodity strategy for sustainable performance
• Support supplier risk mitigation plans with support of serial buyers

Minimum education level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business
