Critical Software in Portugal seeks a forward-thinking Cluster Technology Director to define and lead the technical vision for the Energy & Critical Infrastructure (ECI) cluster. You will set architecture principles and act as the technical authority for safety-critical energy systems, ensuring cybersecurity and regulatory alignment across projects.

This role offers global impact within the cluster, mentoring senior engineers, shaping industry standards, and advancing AI-driven energy delivery

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software engineering and technical leadership experience in energy/critical infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of safety-critical and mission-critical systems.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to mentor senior engineers and architects across projects.
• Experience with cybersecurity and regulated environments.

Responsabilidades

• Define and lead the technology vision, principles, and reference roadmaps for the cluster, aligned with company strategy and global direction.
• Act as the technical authority for regulated, safety-critical energy software across metering, head end systems, substations, grid, and renewables.
• Grow the cluster with scalable architectures and reusable assets across customers.
• Set the bar on cybersecurity, interoperability, and secure design for critical infrastructure.
• Be the escalation point for architectural, safety, and regulatory decisions and resolve them quickly.
• Bring AI into energy delivery where it solves real problems, balancing innovation with security.
• Work with the CTO to build capabilities that sharpen Critical's edge as a trusted energy engineering partner.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects across the cluster, and represent Critical in industry and standards forums.
