Accenture CyberSecurity in Porto is seeking a Cloudflare Application Security Specialist to support and optimize Cloudflare WAF, API Security, Bot Management and Rate Limiting. You will work with security, cloud, IAM and application teams to secure web apps, APIs and user access, while improving the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Application Security, Cloud Security or IT Operations.
• Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS, OWASP Top 10, Authentication/Authorization and API Security.
• Familiarity with Entra ID, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect and Zero Trust concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot security issues.

We are seeking a Cloudflare Application Security Specialist that will support the implementation, operation and optimization of Cloudflare Application Security and Zero Trust solutions, helping protect web applications, APIs and user access across the organization. This role is ideal for an early-career cybersecurity professional looking to build expertise in modern application security architecture while contributing to the protection and reliability of business-critical services.

In this position, you will work closely with security, cloud, identity and access management (IAM) and application teams to support secure application delivery and improve the organization's security posture. Through monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting and operational support, you will help identify and resolve security issues, strengthen access controls and support the continuous improvement of Cloudflare security services.

You will participate in the implementation, administration and optimization of Cloudflare WAF, API Security, Bot Management and Rate Limiting capabilities, support Zero Trust application protection initiatives, investigate application security events and contribute to the ongoing development of Cloudflare Application Security expertise across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Support the implementation, administration and optimization of Cloudflare WAF, API Security, Bot Management and Rate Limiting services
• Support Cloudflare Security Analytics and Log Explorer investigations to identify application threats and security risks
• Assist with application threat hunting activities and attack pattern analysis
• Assist with Cloudflare Access and Zero Trust application protection initiatives
• Support DNS Security, SSL/TLS and application delivery configurations
• Monitor and investigate application security events and incidents
• Troubleshoot application access, authentication and web security issues
• Analyze logs and security events to support root cause analysis
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Collaborate with security, cloud, IAM and application teams to support security initiatives
• Continuously develop Cloudflare and Application Security expertise to support evolving business and security requirements

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Application Security, Cloud Security or IT Operations
• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS, OWASP Top 10, Authentication and Authorization, API Security and modern web application architectures
• Familiarity with Entra ID, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect and Zero Trust concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate security events and troubleshoot technical issues
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and operational procedures
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
• Fluent English communication skills are mandatory
